Jill Blakey Art
As a life-long Maths geek, with a Mathematics degree and many years as a secondary school Maths Teacher, Jill has always enjoyed the objectivity of numbers and algebra. Jill loves the satisfaction of solving a problem and getting the answer “right”. This, as well as many years of experimenting with different creative mediums, has brought Jill to abstract art. Abstract art can not be wrong! The irrationality and subjectiveness of this art form was a revelation for Jill, and she now loves to create colourful pieces that make people feel happy.
Having recently moved from London to Buckinghamshire with her young family, Jill works predominantly with acrylic paint on stretched canvases. Her use of iridescent and fluorescent paint creates stand out pieces which have a dynamic and vibrant presence.
