100% Merino Lambswool

Some of the benefits of Merino lambswool are :

Odor Neutralising -Merino wool is so breathable that it’s also antibacterial, meaning it’s capable of keeping unwanted odors at bay with the help of its moisture-wicking properties. This means less sweat build up on the skin which in turn means it needs washed less.

Moisture regulating Merino wool feels warm and comfortable even when wet. Furthermore, it doesn’t suppress the body’s natural cooling function of sweating.

Very soft Merino wool is much finer and softer than regular wool. It is grown by Merino sheep that graze the highlands of Australia and New Zealand the sheep have developed the softest and finest fleece.

Hypoallergenic Unlike some other types of wool merino is suitable for sensitive skin. Research shows that wearing merino wool T-shirts or sweaters reduces adult and infant eczema symptoms impressively compared to other fabrics. This hypoallergenic fiber treats your skin softly and with great care.

Sustainable and biodegradable Synthetic fibers and cotton demand a great amount of manipulation and processing wheras merino wool does not. Depending on their breed, merino sheep are shorn once to twice a year – so they automatically grow a new coat. The Merino fiber will naturally decompose in soil when it is disposed unlike synthetics.

This bright and beautiful scarf is perfect for a bold statement look.

These bright and beautiful booties are gender neutral so make a lovely thoughtful gift.

Hello I am Beth Renton the creator of Wee Beauties. I studied Textile design at Heriot Watt University in the Scottish Borders, an area with a rich textile heritage. After graduating and moving back to my home town of Edinburgh I decided to set up my business Wee Beauties. Wee Beauties specialises in making beautiful, high quality, machine knitted accessories. My Designs are mainly inspired by travel and nature I have a passion for both of these. I have always loved bright colours and a student exchange trip to India further influenced me and let me see the benefit of travel for inspiration. Some of my patterns come from my everyday life in Scotland I can find pattern designs in the plants and places around me. Reducing waste and being a sustainable business matters greatly to me. My raw material is merino lambswool which is produced in Yorkshire and then shipped to me in Scotland where I knit this into my products this means when you buy from me you are supporting the British economy and a business with a low carbon footprint. I also hate to waste any precious wool so use my scraps to make smaller items like badges and earrings.
