Get an introduction to stained glass by making a sun catcher on this one day taster session.  You will learn how to follow a pattern, cut glass, and solder it together.  Originally pioneered in the 19th century by Tiffany and LaFarge, this technique is the perfect introduction to using glass for colour and light

This workshops is suitable for complete beginners or those more experienced who need a refreshing on their cutting, designing or foiling skills. We will start from the very beginning, learning how to cut glass, grind it, etc.  Depending on your skill level you'll achieve a simple or more intricate sun catcher. We'll go through the whole process of copper foiled stained glass making, including:​ -Designing for stained glass -Templates and cartooning -Selecting glass -How to cut & shape glass -Applying the copper foil -Soldering -Patina and waxing. ​ At the end of the workshop you will take home a lovely stained glass sun catcher. All tools, materials and consumables included. ​ Time: 10 am to 3 pm

Shipping Policy

Deliveries from stock will normally be shipped within 5 working days of my acknowledgement of your order. For non-stock items, or commissioned designs, the lead time to complete it will be agreed beforehand with us. Contact us to discuss your commission, and we'll trace a design, production and shipping plan for you. We can deliver anywhere in UK, and we offer collection in person for free: We would love to show us our studio, shop and workshop. For international deliveries, contact us. Furthermore, the buyer accepts liability for losses incurred in transit or due to the delay of the shipper.  

Refund Policy

We do not offer refunds. If your piece arrives damaged or broken, let us know and send pictures within 3 days of arrival, so we can start the insurance claim process with the delivery company. Once we receive the refund from them, we'll  transfer it to you.

Cancellation / Return / Exchange Policy

Cancellations: For cancellations made 4 weeks in advance we offer a full refund or one free date change. For cancellations made 2 weeks in advance we can only offer a 50% refund (minus a £5 booking fee). If we receive less than 2 weeks’ notice we are unable to offer a refund or date change on course places. If you’re unable to attend, you’re welcome to send someone in your place; please provide your replacement’s name, phone number and email address in advance of the workshop. If a date change has been requested we cannot offer a refund on a subsequent cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel courses due to unforeseen circumstances and we will endeavour to give as much notice as possible if this situation arises. In the event of a course cancellation we will offer an alternative date or full refund. We cannot accept liability for consequential loss e.g. travel or accommodation costs in these circumstances.
