Amethyst and Silver Star Pendant Necklace

This necklace features a hammer-textured pure silver star teamed with a wire wrapped pear-shaped amethyst gemstone.

The star charm has been made using silver clay. Silver clay is a mouldable substance that becomes pure silver once fired. After shaping and firing the clay I have lightly hammer textured the star which makes it catch the light and twinkle when worn.

The amethyst teardrop shaped stone is a vivid purple coloured faceted stone and has been wrapped using sterling silver wire.

Amethyst is a very popular gemstone and is the birthstone for February. Amethyst is seen as symbol of protection, sincerity, security, and peace of mind as well as reducing negativity and bringing spirituality to the wearer.

The star itself measures 17mm from point to point and the wrapped amethyst measures approx. 15mm in length. This pendant hangs from an 18" sterling silver rope chain.
