Two hand carved feathers adorn this simple and beautiful leather cover which can hold a standard EU Passport or a small field notes style notebook. It has been fully handstitched and the edges have been burnished with beeswax for added strength and durability. UK items will be sent 2nd Class Signed For. Please allow for postal delays due to the current pandemic. For international orders please allow up to 28 days before contacting me to file a lost item case. If you need to return items for any reason, please use a tracked service as I am unable to refund items unless they are returned to me in good condition. It is the buyers responsibility to file a claim with their shipping company for any items being returned that are lost in the mail. Leather is a natural product and as such will have its own unique characteristics and markings. These make your item one of a kind and only add to its beauty as it ages over time. What is Veg Tan leather? Short for vegetable tanned leather, which is a process that uses the naturally occurring tannins in certain plants and tree bark to create a leather that is chemical free and better suited to carving and stamping.

I am an individual Artisan Leathercrafter working from a small workshop in the beautiful Yorkshire town of Thirsk.

Everything here at Rills Leathercraft Yorkshire is made by hand, using traditional tools and quality vegetable-tanned leather.

I carve designs inspired by nature and historical eras on many of my creations and use the time honoured hand stitching method of the ‘Saddle Stitch’ to ensure that my pieces last a lifetime.

Shipping Policy

The time I need to prepare an order for dispatch varies. For details, see individual items. I used a signed for service wherever possible, expedited shipping is available upon request for items that are currently in stock. International buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I'm not responsible for delays due to customs.

Refund Policy

  I craft my bags, wallets etc with care and attention to detail to ensure they last you for years, so I can confidently offer a lifetime repair guarantee on all my handstitched leather goods. This refers to the reasonable expected lifetime of the item in general use.

  If something breaks due to a workmanship issue or faulty hardware (buckles, fasteners and other metal pieces), I will repair what I can, and replace what I can't. Please understand that my leather suppliers change all the time, so any repairs or replacements may not be an exact match, but I will do my best.

   However this does not not mean I will accept repair requests due to negligence. If your item was not properly cared for or deliberate damage was inflicted upon it, then any repairs may be undertaken at my discretion if I feel the damage is not too great. Simply send photos and explain how the item was damaged and I may be able to offer help or advise.  In the case of negligence or deliberate damage, no replacements or refunds are offered. This also applies to general wear and tear over time, as leather is a natural product and will develop its own unique characteristics. Fading, softening, scuffs and scratches are to be expected and are not covered under my guarantee. I offer repairs on items damaged during transit, however as this is something out of my control no refunds are offered. If your order is bespoke or personalised it will not eligible for refund or exchange.

Cancellation / Return / Exchange Policy

I accept returns on none customised 'stock' items within 14 days of purchase. You must have proof of purchase and the item must be in original condition and preferably with original packaging.(ie cotton dust cover) Please also provide detailed photos of the item being returned, as I will not give a full refund if the condition is not satisfactory. This is a handmade item and time and energy have gone into making it, I cannot simply throw it away if it has been damaged or 'worn in' during the cooldown period. Buyer pays for return postage unless the item is defective, in which case I can either offer to repair or refund in full for both the item and return postage costs.
