Social impact is at the centre of Artisanry Co. and what we do. We’re a small team with a big heart and have a mission to empower independent, UK-based artists and makers to generate local economic activity in a sustainable way.
Since starting our social enterprise at the beginning of 2020, we have worked hard to develop our support and following. We’re delighted at the growth that has been achieved this year and the community we have built!
This growth has been achieved with a lot of hard work behind-the-scenes. We’ve developed and launched the online shop, enhanced our operational processes and marketing techniques while continuing to provide positive social impact to the community and support for makers and artists.
One of the foundational goals of Artisanry Co. is to support makers in their business endeavours. This has been done by offering coaching and mentorship, establishing a community of like-minded individuals and delivering training and workshops to help upskill makers in the business side of the creative process.
What we have achieved so far-:
- Hosted 21 training and workshop sessions on business skills
- 30 hours have been dedicated to one to one coaching and mentoring of makers
- Hosted 30 IGTV live with the community
- Hosted 7 Creative Connections sessions bringing the community together
Exposure for makers
We at Artisanry Co. are as serious about quality handmade, sustainability and customer service as our makers and our customers. We understand that our customers want to know their makers and often also the process and the provenance behind the products. So, while the makers are hard at work in their studios, we have been sharing their stories and their stunning products through various marketing channels.
Over the year, we’ve managed to offer the following exposure to makers through our marketing efforts:
- 82 makers have been onboarded to our shop
- 60 videos have been created for our makers by our professional videographers
- 100 makers have featured on our social media platforms through over

We use the power of social media to market Artisanry Co. brand, our makers as well as the beautiful products from our community. When we launched our social media channels at the beginning of the year we had no followers and we have since grown our reach exponentially through organic and authentic means.

Looking forward to a successful 2021
Artisanry Co. has invested significantly to make all of this happen. And for makers, this has been free of charge for those who have believed in our vision from the very beginning. With this positive momentum, we continue to deliver and enhance our business proposition.
We are also very excited as we enter 2021. We will provide broader services and support for business development. This will include business and individual coaching and mentoring, in-depth training on relevant subjects such as email marketing, canva, social media marketing etc.
These services will be available to the wider sector as well as our community. Whilst these services will be provided on a chargeable basis, they will be heavily discounted for our existing and new Artisanry Co community members.
